FAQ

Your questions about LoadMerit, answered

Straight answers on the free load calculator, the Academy simulator, Copilot, pricing, and where the boundaries are.

Boundaries

Do you connect to DAT, Truckstop, or 123Loadboard?
No. There are no live load-board or broker integrations. You enter load details yourself — by hand or with Smart Paste — at your own discretion and in line with that source's terms. (A browser extension that reads only the posting text you select is coming to the Chrome Web Store.)
Do you book loads or negotiate for me?
No. LoadMerit does not book loads, submit offers, or negotiate on your behalf. It provides educational practice and advisory analysis only — you make every final decision.
Does this guarantee income or dispatching success?
No. We do not guarantee income, jobs, carriers, loads, broker relationships, or profitable outcomes. Examples and calculations are illustrative and depend on the assumptions you enter.

Training

Is the training just videos and PDFs?
No. It's an interactive simulator. You work synthetic load scenarios, decide Book / Negotiate / Pass, and get scored feedback with the underlying math and red flags.
What does the certificate mean?
It shows you completed the Academy educational content — nothing more. It issues with an Academy purchase, or on Pro monthly after 90 days of paid membership. It does not certify licensure, guarantee employment or income, or authorize you to act as a broker, carrier, or dispatcher.

Copilot & data

Can I save loads?
Saved loads and the comparison board are part of the paid LoadMerit Copilot. The free calculator computes results but does not save them for guests.
Are broker notes verified ratings?
No. Broker notes are your own private notes, not verified public ratings or platform-endorsed broker intelligence.
Is the AI making the decision?
No. The decision engine is deterministic. AI only rewrites the explanation or drafts negotiation copy from the engine's numbers — it never overrides the math.

Value & plans

How is this different from a load board or a dispatch service?
A load board sells access to freight; a dispatch service books and negotiates for a percentage of the load. LoadMerit does neither — it's a lower-cost decision-support layer that helps you evaluate loads you find yourself and decide Book, Pass, or Negotiate. You stay in control and don't pay a dispatcher's cut.
Why is Copilot a monthly subscription when Academy is one-time?
Academy is a simulator you work through once, so it's a one-time purchase you keep. LoadMerit Copilot is a tool you use continuously — saved loads, the comparison board, broker notes, and AI negotiation scripts that stay useful week to week — so it's monthly, which also keeps the analysis and AI maintained.
What do I actually get for the price?
The free tier includes the calculator and a sample scenario. Academy adds the full simulator: every scenario tier, scored feedback with the underlying math, quizzes, progress, and a completion certificate. Copilot adds saved loads, the comparison board, vehicle profiles, broker notes, and AI scripts. Pro includes both, plus the full comparison board, export, and a higher AI limit.
Is this worth it if I'm already on a load board?
Yes — and it costs far less. A load board gives you loads to look at; LoadMerit tells you whether each one is actually worth taking before you commit. The two tools complement each other. You find the load, we run the math.
How is this different from a TMS?
A TMS (Transportation Management System) is built for managing loads you've already booked — dispatch, tracking, invoicing, compliance. LoadMerit is a pre-booking decision tool: it answers "should I take this load?" before it becomes a job in your TMS.
Can a new dispatcher with no clients use this?
Absolutely. The Academy module is designed for people who are learning before they have live freight. Every scenario is synthetic — you practice the Book / Pass / Negotiate decision on safe mock loads and get scored, explained feedback until the logic is automatic.

Pricing & refunds

What am I paying for?
Software and educational content — the simulator, the analyzer, and the tools around them. Not freight services, dispatching, brokerage, or income opportunities.
Is there a free trial?
No — and that's deliberate: you can see the product before paying instead. The calculator is free for everyone with no signup, and the Copilot module has a free preview. LoadMerit Copilot and Pro bill monthly from day one and cancel anytime, with access through the billing period. Academy is a one-time purchase with a 30-day money-back guarantee, and includes 30 days of full Pro access.
What is founder pricing?
Early customers lock the founder rate for life — $99 Academy, $29/mo Copilot, $49/mo Pro. Founder pricing ends October 5, 2026. After that: $249, $39/mo, and $69/mo at standard pricing.
How do refunds and cancellations work?
Subscriptions can be canceled and keep access through the current period. Refund details are on the Refund Policy page; contact support with any questions.
